Spring Farward.

Spring arriving, and many photos of blooming cacti and budding kale on the way. Until then, we have uploaded some photos of the last 3 months. Some are more recent than others, but we believe you'll enjoy them all.

Atalaya sittin' pretty...inspecting her skateboard deck and trucks, just to make sure everything's working properly.
Ready to take that thing for a cruise...with the hands of a helpful Pa, of course.
Here's lil' miss chubs, trying to steal the camera from me.
Gumming a teething biscuit. She still has yet to cut a tooth, although today she let me have a look and there just may be something white right beneath the gums...soon enough!
This one cracks me up...her look is unbelievable...like, "mama, what do you think you're doing?" oh jeez....what are we in for?!?!

Ok. Seriously, a most beautiful babe. Sigh.

Atalaya on her super cool rocking Baltic rocking horse from Grammie and Pup Pup. We were feeling kinda bad that we hadn't offered Atty any 'entertainment centers.' Were we depriving her of the basic joys of being a baby??? Even though we think all the plastic stuff can be a little much, we decided to get one for Atty and see how she'd like it. I don't know if you can see in the photo, but in the back left, there is a swing that we were gifted that Atty refused to hang out in. We'd put her in it, time and time again, but she would scream and give us a look like, "Are you serious about this? Get me out of here!" Well, after several attempts at putting the babe in this big baby entertainer contraption, all resulting in screams and aforementioned 'looks,' we decided (or maybe, Atalaya decided) that she's way too smart to be put to the side in a hunk of plastic. This girl would much rather sit on her little bum and play with her toys...able to move around at will.

See, I told you....look at that smile! After a long day of riding in the car, we had one more stop. Without looking, I pointed the camera at Atty in the carseat and this was the look she gave me. Ugh. Heartbreaker. This kiddo is such a trouper, to say the least. Our lives have always been rather busy, and Atalaya is always down for whatever comes her way.
Atalaya out on the town...here, she and her Pa celebrate after Keenan takes 1st place at the Santa Fe Poetry Slam! Woo Hoo! Looks like Attles took advantage of "Ladies Night"!
Playtime with Pa.
The next three photos perfectly capture what our days are like. Everything can change in a moment!

Happy Smiley:
Ummm...

AAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHH! Walking the desert at sunset.

Ok...who's the cutest little gremlin??? In the words of our dear friend Bethany, "can you stand it?!?!"Sweet, sweet baby bean. Our love. Our life.

Time is moving along quicker than ever. Atalaya says 'mamamama' and 'dadadadada' all day long. She loves hummus, lemons, pickles, strawberries, cucumbers and carrot/yam soup. She's starting to get ready to crawl, but prefers the yoga position 'downward dog.' If she doesn't get crawling soon, I believe this butter bean will be walking sooner than later. She laughs and giggles at the cat, the horse and the goat (especially when Keenan chases the goat around the corral!). She can be the most serious baby in the world...shooting you a most discerning look. If you ask her where the light is, she'll point to the light, any light in the room. If you ask her where the bear's nose is, she touches the tiny black nose on her mini polar bear figurine. If you say, "Atalaya, E.T. phone home" and point your finger at her, she'll touch her little finger to yours. Just like E.T. did to Elliott. Yep, she's that rad.
